I thought I would share (a.k.a., show off) some of the items I recently purchased.
I recently splurged on items I do not need but wanted during the July 2022 Prime Day sale. I also shared a brief explanation of why I got it and how I hope to use it one day.

Automotive Pinstriping Roll
The auto pinstriping roll is for creating custom vinyl decals for vehicles and other surfaces.
I recently traded my car for an SUV. Recalling a conversation I had with a police officer years ago, I decided to customize my new ride to make it my own.
Instead of buying pre-designed decals or taking my SUV to a professional, I want to try making my own custom decal to place on the sides of the vehicle.
I bought the blue chrome roll to fit the color scheme I have decided for my SUV. It should be long enough for me to cut out long strips of curvy lines for my custom decal design.
I do not know if I will document the custom decal process, but I will most definitely give this a try on my new SUV. Fingers crossed that I do not mess up!
Book Binding Supplies Kit
The book binding supplies kit is for handmaking books or repairing broken books.
I have made several DIY Travel Books in the past using the 'perfect binding' method consisting of glue. While this method worked well for my purposes, I have always wanted to try sewn binding.
I plan to attempt a hardcover watercolor book using the 'coptic stitch' or other sewn method. It would be nice to have my own custom book with a sturdy cover.
I will continue to use my older DIY travel books, at least the ones that still have pages for me to paint on, in my SUV.
Acrylic Keychain Blanks
The acrylic keychain blanks are good for a multitude of creative projects.
My Dad looked at this and asked, "What can you actually do with these?" Well, Dad, there are different tools I want to use to customize these: resin, paints (e.g., paint markers, acrylic, marbling), laser engraver, vinyl, heat activated foil, and stamps.
I am curious to see how well the different tools do with the acrylic blanks. I imagine some will not work well, but others should work just fine.
Phone Tripod Mounts
I bought a phone tripod mount for the convenience of video recording away from my craft table.
Unbeknownst to me, my Dad also bought and gifted me a different phone tripod mount.
Button Badge Maker
My Dad bought and gifted me with a button badge maker that makes multiple-sized pin-backed buttons. I am not sure if the link I shared for the button badge maker is the exact one my Dad bought, but it is identical to what I received.
Dad knew I wanted a button maker for years but was too cheap to buy it. He insisted it was on sale when he bought it, but I would not be surprised if he was lying. This is the most expensive product I received last week.
This would be a great way to make gifts I can give to others. In fact, I have already drafted many Disney themed designs for my Disney Parks enthused friends.
Foil Quill Freestyle Pens
The foil quill freestyle pens allow for the transfer of heat activated foil to many different surfaces. The "freestyle" part of the product means it works independently of other products.
There is a version that connect to die cutting machines like the Cricut Maker. I do not use my Cricut Maker often since I prefer a more handmade approach to craft projects. I figured the freestyle version was ideal for how I like to customize things.
I would use these to add foil to book covers, engraved wood designs, acrylic blanks, greeting cards, gift bags, journal pages, and more.
Foil Quill Sheets
The foil quill sheets I bought are heat activated and work with the foil quill freestyle pens.
While the foil quill freestyle pens set came with some foil sheets, I bought more just in case. There is a chance I would love the pens so much that I use it for most craft projects.
There is a greater chance that I will mess up often and need more sheets to practice. I imagine there is a learning curve with using the pens, so I am prepared to take the time and make the effort to learn how to use them well.
My Thoughts
Overall, I am satisfied with the purchases I made. I only bought products that were discounted or available during a lighting deal. The automotive pinstriping roll is the only thing I paid full price for because I bought it right before the actual Prime Day event started.
I also greatly appreciate the two items my Dad bought and gifted me with. Since my Dad moved in a few years ago, he has shown interest in what I do and enjoy in life. He knew I needed a phone tripod mount and wanted a button maker.
He spoils me rotten despite me being a grown adult. Maybe it is because I am his only daughter and do not have an immediate family of my own? No matter why he spoils me, I know I do not deserve him, but I am blessed to have him in my life.
