My July 2025 Prime Day Haul

A look at a few items I splurged on.

I recently splurged on items I do not need but wanted during the July 2025 Prime Day sale.

In case it's helpful, below are the main points covered in this post:

8 Items I Purchased

1 - Phone Screen Protector

The Ailun Glass Screen Protector for Galaxy S24 Ultra 3-Pack was my most important purchase. I needed to replace my phone with a cracked screen protector.

The tempered glass is on the thin side compared to the Mowei and LYWHL brand screen protectors I have used in the past. However, I am hopeful that this is still better than nothing. All I need is something strong enough to protect my phone screen from chips and cracks.

2 - Jump Rings

While making some polymer clay dog tags, I realized that I did not have jump rings large enough to wrap around the thick pieces. I bought the PH PandaHall Stainless Steel Jump Rings for the variety of sizes available.

3 - Metal Stamp Set

I have several blank metal tags, some that were included with a True2U DIY Hand-Stamped Jewelry Kit. A few stamps would work well as dog tags, but the kit did not include number stamps for me to add my phone number.

I bought the HORUSDY 37PC Number and Letter Stamp Set because it was, at the time, cheaper than buying a number stamp set alone. Now, I will be able to add a phone number to future metal dog tags I design.

4 - Safety Eyes

A few years ago, I bought a felting needles kit that included safety eyes, but I am out of it now. The YUJUN 700PCS Safety Eyes were discounted well for Prime Day. These should last several years for needle felt and crochet creations.

5 - Wooden Yarn Bowl

Recently, I started a beginner's crochet kit for the first time. (I will have a blog post about my first time crocheting when I eventually finish my Woobles kit.) So far, I am enjoying the craft.

While I encountered several beginner challenges, the most annoying challenge was dealing with the ball of yarn rolling off on its own adventure. It did not help that my large dog's inner cat would catch and play with the ball of yarn when this happened.

I bought the WILLBOND Wooden Yarn Bowl with hopes that it will keep my ball of yarn from adventuring off on its own rolling adventure. I also hope it minimizes or eliminates unwanted tangles and snags.

6 - Crochet Hooks Set

Dad encouraged me to buy a crochet accessories kit. I did not see a reason to 'waste' money on accessories for a craft I am not yet sure I will continue. However, he argued that I am relaxed and happy while crocheting. If he is wrong, I could always regift my kit to someone I know who enjoys the craft.

I bought the Weabetfu 102PCS Crochet Hooks Set because of its discounted price during the sale. While I have yet to use any of the items included with the set (I have not touched my Woobles kit for several days), several items like the row counters and snipping scissors will prove to be useful.

7 - Dog Nail Polish

The OLINGYOU Dog Nail Polish Pens was the riskiest purchase I made. If my dogs did not care for it, then it would become a waste of money. Still, I bought it because it was cheap. I may write a blog post about this purchase in the coming weeks.

8 - Funko Pop! Plus

I have a Stitch obsession, so I bought the Funko Pop! Plus Metallic Gamer Stitch. It makes a great addition to my growing Stitch army.
